Ofsted 2015

Following our recent Ofsted Inspection, please click here to download a copy of the report.

We were inspected by Mrs Christine Cottam under the new Ofsted framework introduced in January 2015 where Ofsted now base their findings on 5 key areas within primary schools.  We are absolutely delighted that our overall effectiveness has been changed from ‘requires improvement’ at the last inspection to ‘good’.  Early Years Provision is now judged separately, and also received the overall rating of ‘good’.  The inspector commented that ‘children make good progress from their starting points…..  the quality of teaching in early years is consistently good’.

We are even more delighted that we have been judged at the highest rating of ‘outstanding’ for the behaviour and safety of pupils and leadership and management.  This judgement of  ‘outstanding’  shows that the leadership of the school has the necessary skills to move the school forward to achieve ‘outstanding’ in all areas.  The pupil’s behaviour was ‘exemplary’. Ofsted stated that ‘pupils are delightfully polite, confident and well behaved’.

Parents’ comments on Parentview were overwhelmingly positive with 100% saying that they would recommend Huby School to other parents.

The governors and I would like to thank you for your considerable support.  The children are a credit to parents and the school and we are extremely proud of them.
