Huby CoE School Parent Teachers Association (PTA)

Welcome to the Huby School PTA webpage

Everyone who has a child at the school is automatically a member of the PTA, it’s not just restricted to those on the committee!

We meet throughout the year to plan for the various functions that the PTA organises. These meeting are quite short and informal and we usually meet at local hostel.

The main events the PTA arrange are:-

  • School Carnival
  • School Disco
  • Bonfire Night
  • Santa Night

All of these need people to make it happen. We put signing up sheets on the notice board when an event is coming up – please take time to have a look and volunteer if you can.

In addition we purchase and fund various things for the school. In 2016 so far we have funded:-

  • Coaches for trips
  • Gym equipment
  • New Football nets
  • New Netball goals

Below is a list of PTA committee members, so if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask one of us!

Carnival 2014

We had a really good day for the carnival, everyone seemed to have a good time.

In between, nail painting, rock climbing, snail racing, bike decorating, tombola etc. there was hardly enough time to sample the lovely BBQ.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen and also to ALL of YOU for coming along and making it a great afternoon.

Bonfire 2014

Another great success………even though it rained ALL day and the field was covered in industrial grade mud!

The refreshment marquee kept us all fed with delicious homemade soup, hot dogs and fresh baking – yummy.

This year we didn’t collect rubbish but asked people to bring it to the field and despite reservations this worked really well, the bonfire was massive and the fireworks impressive.

Once again a big thanks you to everyone involved and who attended.

Santa Night 2014

Santa was ensconced in his new grotto this year and with the aid of his helpers managed to get the children to sing a song and receive a Christmas present. Meanwhile I the hall a small carol singing session was well received while people ate lovely cakes and had tea and coffee or mulled wine.

Another enjoyable event and it got everyone in the mood for Christmas.

These events don’t just happen and I would like to thank those who gave up there afternoon to prepare the grotto, made the refreshments and helped on the stands. And to everyone for coming along and helping your Children have a good time!

In Spring 2012 the PTA organised the planting of a new Willow Arch on the back field. Now it is growing well and the children are enjoying playing in the new Willow Arch on dry days.
