School Council

The School Council involves children and adults as partners in decisions about the school. Being on the School Council promotes positive relationships helps children to become more confident and broadens their understanding of society.

Our School Council representatives are elected by their peers.  Each year group is represented by one council member with children in Early Years being represented by a child from year 6. The School council decides on many different issues.  Here are some of the events and activities they have decided upon:

Harvest produce to be donated to local food banks

Charities supported by the school at Christmas e.g. Martin House Hospice, Little Princess Trust, WWF

The outside stage area

Huby's Got Talent competition

Cake Stalls

In 2016-17 the School Council supported a number of charities and raised nearly £3000 with the support of children, parents and staff.
